Update TA Commission Amount in Reservations

The Stay - SiteMinder integration is enhanced to allow users to update the travel agent commission amount for a reservation created through SiteMinder. The commission amount sent from SiteMinder will be updated for the reservations.

To support this enhancement, the following changes have been made to the Reservations In section of the SiteMinder interface in the Interface Channel Management screen (All Settings ➜ Administration ➜ Interfaces and Channel Management ➜ Settings).

  • A new checkbox, Automatically Flag New Travel Agents as Commissionable, has been added.

  • A new checkbox, Allow Commission Value Passed in the Inbound, has been added.

  • A new textbox, New Travel Agent Commission Percentage, has been added.

Allow Commission Value Passed in the Inbound

When the Allow Commission Value Passed in the Inbound checkbox is selected, the travel agent commission amount sent from SiteMinder will be applied to the reservations.

When the checkbox is selected, the following takes place:

  • When the Allow Commission Value Passed in the Inbound checkbox is selected, and the IATA number is new:

    • The reservation is updated with the commission amount sent from SiteMinder.

    • In the travel agent profile, the Commissionable checkbox is selected and the value configured in the New Travel Agent Commission Percentage field is applied.

    • When there is no value configured in the New Travel Agent Commission Percentage field, the Commissionable checkbox is selected, and the percentage value is set as 0.

  • When the Allow Commission Value Passed in the Inbound checkbox is selected, and the IATA number exists:

    • The reservation is updated with the commission amount sent from SiteMinder.

    • When the commission amount is not sent from SiteMinder, the value configured in the travel agent profile is applied.

    • When there is no value configured in the travel agent profile, the Commissionable checkbox is selected, and the value is set as 0.

    • The commission amount configured in the New Travel Agent Commission Percentage field is ignored.

Automatically Flag New Travel Agents as Commissionable

The Automatically Flag New Travel Agents as Commissionable checkbox is an optional field that is not selected by default. When the checkbox is selected, the following takes place:

  • When the Allow Commission Value Passed in the Inbound checkbox is not selected, and the IATA number is new:

    • The reservation and the travel agent profile are updated with the commission amount configured in the New Travel Agent Commission Percentage field.

    • When there is no value configured in the New Travel Agent Commission Percentage field, the commission value is left empty.

  • When the Allow Commission Value Passed in the Inbound checkbox is not selected, and the IATA number exists:

    • The commission amount configured in the New Travel Agent Commission Percentage field is ignored.

    • The existing commission amount configured for the travel agent profile is applied to the reservation.

    • When the travel agent profile is not configured with a commission amount, no commission amount is applied to the reservation.

New Travel Agent Commission Percentage

This is an optional field that allows users to configure the commission percentage for a travel agent profile. By default, the value for this field is enabled and set as 0. The value configured in this field will be considered when the Automatically Flag New Travel Agents as Commissionable checkbox is selected.
